This elegant tower is the second tallest lighthouse in Wales, after the Smalls. It was the last lighthouse in Wales to be automated, and until then had been the control station for the previously de-manned Mumbles and Flat Holm lights. It was licensed for use as a wedding venue, with the ceremony on the third floor of the tower, from 2004 to 2019; around 200 couples tied the knot. You can walk past the lighthouse on the Wales Coast Path, and stay overnight at the keeper’s cottages, but the tower is no longer open for visitors.
